We´re developing software for Windows applications according to our clients' specifications. Our programming language is mainly Microsoft´s Visual C++, but in some multimedia applications we have used the Borland C++ compiler. Our products PP2000 and PM2000 are developed in Visual C++. We´re also developing applications in Java and we expect that part to increase in the future, possibly with Visual Age for Java from IBM.

Almost all of our applications have a connection to a database and at present we use ODBC (JDBC) connecting to IBM DB/2, SQL-Server and Oracle 8. Xantus participates in the IBM Solution Developer Programme and we update regularly our knowledge in IBM DB/2 and Visual Age for Java. We are also a member of the Microsoft Solution Developer Network and have achieved a good knowledge in Microsoft's products SQL-Server and Visual C++.

Many of the applications that we have developed through the years work as satellite systems to business systems and they are often communicating with peripheral equipment. Communications and interfaces have therefore often been a major part of our work. We have developed interfaces for business systems e.g. SAP R/3, Movex and ASW. We have preproduced programme modules for communications with SattCon (COMLI and BCC), Siemens Simatic, Flintab scales, Kosmos instruments and a large number of servo and step motors. We also have preproduced programme modules for different analogue and digital ports for input and output.
